The Pied Piper of Hamelin did not want to kidnap
children
he had his own greed
and a broken promise.
We read the story
We wondered
Where did the children go?
If they vanished, how do we exist?
And the rats?
didn’t they have children?
I found so many Pied men
at Indore Hospital.
They released all the rats who went missing in Germany
from Saxony to the Third Reich.
Those rats swarmed like humans
on new born babies
they nipped each part so skillfully
that each atom found its own proton.
Malthus never imagined rats
His population control had no rodents
Herbert Spencer smiled
he knew rodents to be the new fittest
new reality.
Poor mothers
they carried life for 9 months
how safe they were in the belly
and Outside?
Teeth on newborn flesh
rats were so happy
they shook hands with Malthus
by that time they had grown big enough
Rats taught science without words
more ingenious than Malthus
and Spencer.
Now rodents have become Pied men
These men have more colours on their sleeves
What heaven is to humans
hospitals are to them
new babies, new food
they simply abduct reason.
